本校的中國語文學習旨在提高同學讀、寫、聽、說、思維等能力，還著重培養同學審美、審美情趣、品德價值，讓同學認識中華文化，建立民族感情。光中參與教育局中國語文教育卓師工作室，在課堂運用「文言文閱讀教學策略」，並配合「情景教學策略」施教，讓同學更易掌握文章中心思想。
